As stated on the homepage, this site is just my little haven on the internet! I was inspired by the late 1990s~early 2000's form of webpage commonly seen on GeoCities. I had no idea how to code HTML at the start so a few tutorials (such as the one sadgirl and melon have) helped a lot in establishing this site! I just found myself almost in love with how the sites of the past were set up, the garish tiled backgrounds, the use of buttons advertising millions of web browsers and sites, and the use of .gifs. The sites of old, being made primarily using just HTML felt a lot more alive and customizable than the more bland "Wixified" sites we see all over the web now. Many websites like the one I have been working on later got replaced by the dominance of social media around the late 2000’s, which in a way I feel has done a bit of damage to the internet as a whole, many websites now just feel the same, and a lot of the charm of the old internet continues to fall like sand out of our hands. Thats mainly why I made this website, to be a little hub for all my personal projects. I have been lovingly crafting this website as my own since 2023 and I have no plans of stopping anytime soon!
